Briefing: Swissto12 to build small optical relay GEO satellite for Space Compass

Swissto12, a specialist in small geostationary satellites based in Switzerland, has signed a contract to develop an optical relay spacecraft.

This satellite will be constructed using the HummingSat platform, which is comparable in size to a washing machine.

The project represents the first optical relay spacecraft for the Space Compass initiative, with the contract dated March 23, 2026.
